The AK-PA100AM03 Power Supply Unit (PSU) can provide up to 1000W of power with 80 Plus Gold efficiency rating; six PCI-E power connectors; and further Molex and SATA power connectors. However the PSU is designed as a standard ATX (desktop) power supply thus we do not recommend the PSU for mining.

The PSU has 3 modular PCI-E cables with double PCI-E power connectors on each cable. Meaning there is a total of 6 PCI-E connectors. Designed for desktop use, each cable has a maximum Power Rating of 180W. If power usage from GPUs exceeds the power rating then it would not work and may damage your system.

To work around this, one may consider to use PCI-E Riser or SATA adapters to further accommodate additional GPUs - each adapter usually requiring around 40W of power. As each of the two Molex (SATA) power modular cables on the PSU has four Molex (SATA) connectors per cable, the Power Rating of each cable is up to 60W. This means if two or more PCI-E Risers are connected on a single cable, it would exceed the maximum power rating for the cable thus may melt the wire and cause damage to your GPU and system.
